If you love butter you will absolutely will love this hand-thrown butter bell by Richard Beauchamp. Based on the traditional French Beurrier these ceramic crocks keep your butter perfectly spreadable outside of the fridge - creamy but still cool.
Made from an iron-bearing buff clay body that reveals a light speckle through the white glaze.
How to use: fill the base about 1/3 with cold water. Pack the lid with slightly softened butter so there are no air pockets. Replace the lid in the base. The water will create an air-tight seal, preserving the butter. Replace water every couple of days.
Dimensions (lid on): 110mm diameter x 90mm high. Each bell will vary slightly.
Dishwasher safe, however hand washing is recommended.
