Frances Nation is a homeware and gift store focused on quality Aotearoa-made goods, located at the historic Arts Centre in central Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Established in 2017 by Tessa Peach, the shop is named after her grandmother who valued functionality and quality in all things.

At Frances Nation we offer an extensive collection of useful, well designed goods all made right here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. From tool boxes to ceramics and hand-forged fire pokers - the creators we work with are dedicated to their particular craft or industry. If you are interested to know what New Zealand makes for itself at a domestic level this is the place to come. Knife makers, hat makers, gorgeous skincare and more. 

We also have a small cafe in a garden setting, offering coffee, pastries, sandwiches and real fruit ice cream.
