Tea strainer by Thea Ceramics made on Waiheke Island, Aotearoa

Regular price $55.00

A hand-thrown ceramic tea strainer for brewing loose-leaf tea, a nice part of a slow tea ritual.

The wide rim sits on the rim of your cup while the basket sits inside, so the hot water steeps the leaves. Holes are hand punched into the basket to let the water drain through.

Glazed in Kirikiri, a natural tone that brings out the colour of the clay. Kirikiri means sand or shoreline in te reo Māori.

10cm diameter x 5cm tall. Sizing is approximate as each piece is hand thrown.
