A handsome, long-lasting spatula made from two native timbers known for their strength. The long blade is great for flipping delicate food like fish and omelettes, and it's useful for serving too.
The handle is certified 35,000-year-old kauri and the blade is black maire, sanded and oiled to a smooth glossy finish that shows off the wood. Please note the timber used may vary from time to time.
Packaged with details of the timber type and origin, the maker and care instructions, so it makes a special gift for a friend who likes to cook.
Made by fine woodworker Tom Muir in Te Miro, Aotearoa.
Care: Wash in warm water, soapy if needed, and dry. Not for the dishwasher, and don't leave it sitting in the pot. Re-oil when you like with coconut, olive or walnut oil, wiping off the surplus after a few minutes.
