Medium kete waikawa made in Christchurch, New Zealand

A traditional food storage basket known as kete waikawa. Hand woven in harakeke by a local Ngāi Tahu weaver, it's strong and durable and ideal for storing root vegetables or other goods. It holds about 10 large onions.

Approx. 31cm high x 18cm diameter.

Woven in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
