Card by Tanya Wolfkamp of Waiheke Island, New Zealand

After a long career in the decorative arts, Waiheke Island painter Tanya Wolfkamp makes the art she longs to see in the modern world: nostalgic, detailed and quietly beautiful. Her Pietra Dura series borrows from inlaid-stone work to frame our native birds. Waxeyes (“New Blossoms Appreciated”) pairs tauhou with citrus blossom and a common blue butterfly, and Fantails features pīwakawaka. Made in New Zealand, includes a white envelope.
