Mugs by Jordie MacDonald in three sizes: small, ideal for an espresso or piccolo; medium, great for coffee; and large, for a mug of tea.

Small: 6.5cm diameter x 6.5cm high

Jordie works from a shared pottery studio in New Brighton, Ōtautahi Christchurch. After a year of testing she created a clay blend from two Canterbury deposits – Kakahū and Glentunnel – accessed through the Canterbury brick works in Darfield. Her goal is to use the most local materials possible, to be sustainable and to add local meaning to each piece. All the clay is hand-processed: the two clays are mixed together in buckets, then sieved and dried in pillowcases.
