Kauri lidded jar by Greg Morris made in Woodend, New Zealand

A lidded jar turned by woodturner Greg Morris from recycled kauri timber, salvaged from the Catholic Basilica after the earthquake. It's ideal for storing dry goods, sugar or herbs in the kitchen.

6.5cm diameter, 10cm tall. Each jar is unique because it's made from reclaimed timber.

Care: Hand wash in warm soapy water and dry straight away. Don't soak or put in the dishwasher. Rub with a little food-safe oil now and then to keep the timber nourished.
