A chef's knife hand crafted in Aotearoa New Zealand from 100% recycled materials, and designed to last.
The blade is made from a recycled carbon steel saw blade. The Cleanstone handle is made from recycled plastic packaging and commercial fishing nets, which gives it a unique swirling pattern. Three brass rivets hold blade and handle together in a simple design that suits any kitchen.
Handle colours: Hihi, Kererū Blue, Tūī or Miromiro.
Total length 33cm, 5cm deep at the heel of the blade.
Each Critical. x Nůž knife closes the loop for 1 plastic bottle, 2 lids and 40mm of commercial recycled plastic fishing net.
Made in Waiuku. Shop the full range of Nůž knives, and we also stock Critical Cleanstone chopping boards.
Care: Hand wash in warm soapy water and dry straight away. Never put it in the dishwasher. Oil the blade occasionally with a little olive or vegetable oil to protect against rust. Carbon steel develops a natural patina with use. Have it professionally sharpened about once a year, or whenever it starts to feel dull. In Christchurch we recommend KASS Sharpening Services on St Asaph Street.
We ship nationwide across Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally to selected destinations.
