A beautiful handcrafted paring knife by Lorimer Knives made with D2 tool steel and a timber handle.

Jamie Pickford now heads up the business with founder Peter Lorimer overseeing all aspects of the process from forging, grinding and hardening the blades to making the boxes that carry them. Care for it well and this knife will be with you for a lifetime.

Each knife is unique: the timber and grain varies but is always beautiful.

Care Instructions: The blade is D2 tool steel, prized by knifemakers because it holds a sharp edge for a long time. It's rust-resistant but not fully stainless, so hand wash and dry straight away, and never put it in the dishwasher or leave it wet. Have it professionally sharpened about once a year, or whenever it starts to feel dull. In Christchurch we recommend KASS Sharpening Services on St Asaph Street.
