These aromatic lemons will add a gorgeous citrus saltiness to many dishes. Traditionally used in Middle Eastern cuisine, preserved lemons feature in Moroccan tagines and couscous. A versatile ingredient, they go excellently with seafood, chicken and lamb. The sweet and tangy flavour adds an extra zing to salads, sauces and dips, and complements olives, artichokes and capers. The lemons are grown in picturesque Pigeon Bay, on the Banks Peninsula, Canterbury.
Ingredients: Lemon (80%) salt, pepper, bay leaves.
