A beautifully crafted chef knife with a serpentine handle and AEB-L stainless steel blade. This knife comes with a custom made sheath finished with a serpentine pin. The serpentine was sourced from the Pelorus River, near Havelock where Stuart is based.
Stuart Johnson has been a lifelong crafter and got into making knives in 2019. He has a passion for learning and precision, making anything from folding knives to chef knives.
Stuart's dive into knife-making began when learning about “heat treating during my engineering apprenticeship… an interest in the mechanics of pocket knives gave me a desire to try and design and make my own.” Now a qualified fitter/welder by trade, he utilises his skills and knowledge to craft precision blades. He works out of his shop in Havelock at the mouth of the Pelorus River, Marlborough Sounds.
