Three Fates rosé, Hawkes Bay

Three Fates is an all women winemaking team based in Hawkes Bay.

Direct-press style made from Gimblett Gravels Merlot and Bridge Pa Syrah; two vineyards managed by the brilliant Bridget Wilton and Miles Leicester. Both sites were handpicked picked the same morning and pressed together that afternoon. Fermentation occurred naturally via indigenous yeasts in a barrique and a stainless steel tank. Some lees stirring post-ferment to encourage a breadth of palate; looking for a rosé that wont quit.

The result is unabashedly fruity; bringing strawberry lollies, charred watermelon, and a dried rose petal spice. The palate is dry with a light tannic grip that lends a seriousness to the aromatic candy-shop. Savour it or smash it, the decision is yours.
