From the late ripening Noetzli family vineyard in Maraekakaho, Hawke’s Bay, where Three Fates have been working since 2020. The combination of site, soils, and clone combine to produce magnificently ripe Cabernet Franc with a distinctive freshness.
Handpicked, 100% destemmed, 50% foot stomped, with a natural fermentation in a single open-top fermenter.
In it’s youth, this is a bright and juicy wine packed full of raspberry, cherry and plum flavours that can be enjoyed chilled through the summer of 23/24. With some time in bottle, this will develop into a more serious red with violet, cola, and baking spice characters coming out to play.
