The Mikaku garden and orchard continues providing produce for drying throughout each season. Foraging for local kawakawa, berries and seasonal fruit is also part of their work. They process, dry, and hand blend small batches in their Christchurch tea studio.
Caring for the planet and working with nature is Mikaku's underlying principle. They use only organic gardening techniques, harvesting small amounts often, leaving plenty for birds and bees. Sustainable packaging is very important too, all Mikaku tea packaging is home compostable or recyclable.
