Kahikatea cheese board made in North Canterbury, New Zealand

Regular price $130.00

Beautiful kahikatea cheese platter made by woodworker Brent Sewell in North Canterbury. These are available in limited run of 40, as they have been made from the last of Brent's supply of wind-blown kahikatea from the West Coast of the South Island.

Kahikatea was used to transport butter to Britain due to its unique properties: it is light but sturdy, and unlike other timbers, it doesn't hold onto food odours.
