A unique kitchen implement for cutting dough, herbs, cheese, corn off the cob etc. This hand crafted chopping tool made of Black Maire wood has a smooth rounded handle for grip and a surprisingly sharp blade for cutting. Finished with a food safe, plant based oil/wax.
Black Maire is a native New Zealand timber highly regarded historically for tool and weapon making. This particular timber comes from a salvaged log, found at an old logging site in The Pureora Forest, central North Island.
Presented in white tissue with tag detailing the origin of the wood and features.
Each Chopper is individually handmade so grain, colouring and shape will vary slightly.
